Dr Matthew Warden is the Director of AIS at St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Melbourne and a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Hobart and Southern Districts Community Mental Health Team, Tasmania, Australia. He obtained his MBBS in 1995, his MRC Psych in 2000 and his Diploma of Mental Health Law at Northumbria University, UK, in 2004.

Dr Warden was the former Clinical Director of the Psychiatric Emergency Services, Hunter New England Health, NSW, Australia, and previously Clinical Lecturer, University of Bristol and Psychiatry lead for the Gloucester Academy Medical School, UK.

He currently sits on the College Committee for Continuing Medical Education and is also a tribunal member of the Mental Health Tribunal in Tasmania.
